Please continue to review the vocabulary words associated with the sounds OU and OI this week. There will be an evaluation next week. SON OI (Link is attached)
- We are beginning to practice combined sounds in French. In Grade 1 your child focused on single sounds (ex: La lettre A, B, C etc). We are starting with le son OU and le son OI.

Students will study communities around the world, developing an awareness of the relationship between location, climate, physical features, and how people live in various communities.
Please review the `Notre Terre` sheet. Click here for audio For the next two or so weeks, we will begin our guided fall writing. In grade 2 writing is evaluated in French. Writing in French is done with a lot of practice together as a class. We learn new words, we practice putting them in sentences, we brainstorm our ideas first together so then the students can write independently with sentence starters like ``En automne, je vois...`` ``En automne, je mets...`` `etc. We will be practicing fall vocabulary words as well as things we see (je vois), hear (j`entends), smell (je sens) and touch (je touche) in the fall. We will be doing writing for each season: fall, winter, spring and summer.
